Map conversion tips

In some cases, such as when you are exporting maps for use in Lens (see Exporting Lens-compatible content), you need to convert one type of texture map to another. These diagrams show how you can convert maps in programs like Photoshop. The boxes on the left of each diagram show the relationships between input maps and the map on the right side of each diagram show the output map.

Diffuse to Base Color

To create a Base Color map, place the Specular map above the Diffuse map and blend the two by using the Metallic map as a mask.
