Sharing assets

To share assets, create a collection of assets and share the URL to the collection. You can share collections with anyone, including people who do not have a Kraken account.

Follow these steps to create a collection:

  1. Go to the Collections page.
  2. Click Create Collection, give the collection a name, and click OK.
  3. On the “Adding Content to Collection” page, click the check boxes at the top left of each asset to add to the collection. You can add assets to the collection later.
  4. At the top right of the page, click Add to [collection name].

Anyone with a Kraken account can see all collections. To share a collection with someone who doesn’t have a Kraken account, open the collection on the Collections page. Then, at the top right of the page, next to Shared, click No. A window with sharing options opens.

Sharing information showing that the collection is not shared

To create a URL that anyone can use to see the collection, enable the slider so its text changes to Link Shared.

Sharing settings, showing the link that users without a Kraken account can use to view and download the collection

Now anyone with the link, even people without a Kraken account, can see the collection and download its assets. You can enable and disable sharing at any time, and you can create a new link to invalidate the old link.

Enabling and disabling sharing

You can enable and disable sharing for a collection at any time. To change the sharing settings for a collection, open it in the Collections page and at the top right of the page, next to Shared, click No or Yes. From there you can create a new sharing link, which invalidates the old sharing link. If you turn off link sharing for the collection, only logged-in Kraken users can see the collection and its assets.
